1953," said Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, in the
principal address made during the national
commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the
assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de
Céspedes Garrisons. The likewise First Secretary of
the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the
Councils of State and Ministers directed this
message to younger generations, who he described as
the historically necessary new guard in the

Castro Ruz, received compañero Nicolás Maduro Moros,
President of the sister Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela on the evening of July 26. Also

commemoration in Santiago de Cuba of the Moncada
assault which occurred there six decades ago.
