EVENTS

message to the U.S. government to release the five
anti-terrorists heroes detained 15 years ago in that

Enough!

UNDER the maxim 15 Years is Enough!,
the International Encounter of Solidarity for the
Freedom of the Five concluded September 12 in Havana
with a commitment to intensify actions to secure the
liberation of the Cuban anti-terrorist fighters.

WASHINGTON.—Under
a burning sun, right at midday on September 12, a
group of activists gathered outside the White House
to demand that U.S. President Barack Obama
immediately release the Five.

has once again denounced the case of the Five at the
UN Human Rights Council, PL reports.

Call to increase
actions to free the Five

THE
9th International Colloquium for the Liberation of
the Five and Against Terrorism, which took place in
the eastern province of Holguín (November 13-17) and
was attended by 300-plus delegates from 51 countries,
ended with determination to win the struggle.

HOLGUIN.—The
exposition Yo me muero como viví, comprising
15 watercolors in which one of the Five, Antonio
Guerrero, captures moments of the first months of
their unjust and cruel imprisonment, was a strong
preamble to the 9th International Colloquium for the
Liberation of the Five and Against Terrorism, which
began November 12 with friends of Cuba from all
parts of the world.

heroes

IT
couldn’t be any other way. Five innocent Cubans have
completed 15 years of unjust imprisonment in the
United States, five Cubans who left everything
behind to protect the life and tranquility of an
entire country.
