Raúl receives president of
Rosneft Oil Company

PRESIDENT Raúl Castro Ruz received November 23 Igor
Ivanovich Sechin, president of the Rosneft Oil
Company, who was leading a delegation from the
Russian Federation on a working visit to Cuba.
 During
the cordial meeting both parties discussed the
jointly held desire to continue extending relations
in the fields of hydrocarbons, health, tourism and
energy, as well as the training of technicians and
specialists in the oil sector, in all of which there
are ample possibilities for cooperation.
Raúl
and Sechin also exchanged information on the
updating of the Cuban economic model, the regional
integration process and the possibilities of the
Mariel Special Development Zone in terms of future
investments.
Also
present were Mikhail L. Kamynin, ambassador of the
Russian Federation in Cuba, and Boris Kovalchuk,
president of the executive board of the INTER RAO
power engineering enterprise.
Present on the Cuban side were Council of Ministers
Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, Energy and
Mines Minister Alfredo López Valdés, and Acting
Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Antonio
Carricarte Corona.
