Argentine President in Cuba

The
President of Argentina, Cristina Fernández, is in
Cuba to participate in the 2nd Summit of
the Community of Latin American and Caribbean
States, CELAC.

According to
the Argentine news agency Télam, the President
arrived at Havana’s José Martí International Airport
Friday night.
She was
accompanied by Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman and
Secretary of Public Information Alfredo Scoccimarro,
among other government leaders.
Heads of
state and government from 33 countries will meet
January 28-29 in the 2nd Summit of CELAC,
founded in Caracas in 2011. National coordinators
are working this weekend on draft documents to be
discussed and foreign ministers will meet Monday,
January 27.
