H. Upmann
launches new cigar on the international market

Habanos S.A. has a new Cuban cigar, the Connossieur
A, from the H. Upmann brand.
An official announcement from the
company adds that it is an exclusive Havana cigar
for specialist Cuban cigar outlets, and for La Casa
del Habano network, which has establishments in many
countries.
H. Upmann, the announcement
clarifies, is considered an exemplary brand among
the most refined Havana cigars with a light to
medium strength and flavor.
The history of the H. Upmann brand,
from its foundation in 1844, is reflected in the
gold medals which adorn the boxes, certifying prizes
won in no less than 11 international fairs during
the 19th century, according to the same announcement.
Connossieur A is within H. Upmann’s
historic line, in which the cigar band most known to
date is Connossieur No 1. This line has been updated
with the new cigar, which also incorporates an
exclusive ring giving prestige to the brand’s image.
The new cigar is a Genios; in other
words, has a 52-millimeter diameter and is 140
millimeters in length.
The Connossieur A could be
exclusively enjoyed by Havana cigar lovers attending
the recent Intertabac Fair in Dortmund, in the
German Rhineland (September 20-22), with an
exhibition of a range of Cuban manufactured cigars.
The new cigars appear in a slide-lid
box of 25 units and the country’s authorities expect
their successful consumption among the most
demanding smokers. (PL)
