Message from
Alicia Alonso to family
members of the Five
•
"HOW proud the family members must
be of the five heroes, these men who honor us all
with their courage, integrity and human sensibility!
I would say to the modest people of
the United States, those who experienced with
distress the great tragedy of the victims of
terrorism in the Twin Towers, to turn their eyes and
judge with their hearts the feat of these five
Cubans, who devoted the best of their intelligence
and actions to trying to avert this horror being
inflicted on Cuba, on their own people. This made
them not only our heroes, but also a moral example
for all people of goodwill.
Allow me to share this pride with
you, and with your strength, demand that the Five
are allowed to return to the heart of this, their
eternally grateful homeland.
Alicia Alonso
December 2012.

Brick
by brick the mainstream media wall of silence
surrounding the case of the Cuban Five is coming
down. Alicia Jrapko, coordinator of the
International Committee for the Release of the Cuban
Five told Cubadebate: "We have managed to break
through the mainstream media a bit. Univisión had
impartial coverage for the first time." |
