Alarcón describes U.S. policy toward Cuba as "terrorist"

Juan Diego Nusa Peñalver

ON Thursday, July 29, during the session of the International Relations Commission of the Cuban parliament, Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada, president of the National Assembly of People’s Power, described as "terrorist" the policy followed by the U.S. administration against Cuba for countless years and once again demanded the release of our five heroes, unjustly incarcerated in U.S. jails.

We have to fight, intensify the international campaign, use the alternative media, new technologies and whatever space available to demand the release of Gerardo Hernández, René González, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando González, said Alarcón, who urged the commission to redouble its efforts in this task.

He reiterated the condemnation over the situation of Gerardo who, despite having health problems, has once again been sent to the punishment cell known as the "hole," with no explanation whatsoever and just when he was preparing his appeal process.

Gerardo’s wife, Adriana Pérez, thanked the commission for its work and interest in the case of the Five, referred to the complexity of the situation of these courageous men and said that victory would only be achieved when the Five return to their families and their homeland.

The United States is responsible for the health and physical integrity of Gerardo Hernández Nordelo
SINCE Wednesday, July 24 Gerardo Hernández Nordelo has been once again confined in the hole. On this occasion in particularly harsh conditions that are a grave danger to his health and physical integrity.

Ramón Labañino spends his birthday in the "hole"

RAMÓN Labañino, one of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters imprisoned in the United States, celebrated his 47th birthday yesterday (June 9) but remained in an isolation cell where he has been confined since last April 27.

The only solution to the case of the Five is their release

ON leaving the courthouse in Miami, William Norris stated that “although it is not what we wanted, we are to an extent satisfied,” given the reduction in the sentence handed down to Ramón Labañino Salazar, one of the five Cuban anti-terrorists unjustly incarcerated in the United States for more than 11 years.
