Cuba wins bronze in Pan American under 23 Volleyball
Cup

Cuba’s U23 team qualified for the
Women’s Volleyball World Championships in Brazil
2015.
The
Dominican Republic was crowned champion of the
Second Pan American Women’s Volleyball Cup, while
Cuba secured third place after defeating Peru.
The
tournament took place in Peru, with four tickets to
the Women’s Volleyball World Championship in Brazil
2015 up for grabs.
The final
between the Dominican Republic and Colombia was a
close fought match, however, after a great effort,
the Dominicans eventually triumphed with a score of
24-26, 27-25, 25-23 and 25-11.
Cuba - who
lost to the Dominican Republic in the semi-finals -
faced Peru, who was beaten by Colombia in their
semi-final match, in the third place finals. Cuba
defeated their rivals 3-1, with a score of 25-21,
25-16, 19-25 and 25-17. (Granma International news
