Iranian President
receives
Cuban leader
The newly elected president of the
Islamic Republic of Iran, Hasan Rohani, who was
sworn in before the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Majlis)
on August 4 in Teheran, received Ricardo Cabrisas, a
vice president of Cuba’s Council of Ministers, who
led the country’s delegation to the inauguration in
Iran.
In a cordial encounter, the Cuban
leader transmitted President Raúl Castro’s greetings,
which were warmly returned by the Iranian President.
Rohani expressed the willingness of
the new Iranian administration to strengthen the
traditional relations of friendship and cooperation
between the two countries, in all possible areas.
Other issues of mutual interest were
also discussed during the meeting.
