Ministry of
Foreign Relations Statement
The Republic of Cuba’s Ministry of
Foreign Relations has followed with increasing
concern the serious events taking place in the Gaza
Strip, in particular the indiscriminate attacks by
the Israeli army on civilian targets, which have
caused thousands of deaths and injuries, and
widespread destruction of property and
infrastructure.
The Republic of Cuba’s Ministry of
Foreign Relations again reaffirms, to all states,
international organizations and bodies, the United
Nations Security Council, and the international
community as a whole, the demand for an immediate
end to Israeli aggression, the lifting of the
blockade of the Gaza Strip, and re-establishment of
medical services, water and electricity, to save the
lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent people.
Cuba energetically reiterates its
condemnation of this new aggression by Israel
against the population of the Gaza Strip, and
reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with the
Palestinian people, supporting their right to self-determination
and the establishment of an independent state with
East Jerusalem at its capital.
