Islamic State Calls to Increase
Attacks in Egypt

Cairo, Sep 22 (Prensa Latina).— The Islamic State (IS), the armed group that has become a nightmare in several countries, posted a communiqué on the Internet on Monday calling on armed groups in Egypt to increase their actions.

The call, which has not been verified, advises the armed groups that act on the Sinai Peninsula to "sow paths of explosives, attack their bases (of the Army and the Police), and cut off their heads".

A few days ago, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el Sisi offered his cooperation to the coalition of 40 countries at the proposal of the United States to fight the IS, although he did not offer troops.

El Sisi made the offer to US Secretary of State John Kerry, who paid a brief visit to Cairo, as part of a tour of the Levant and Turkey to seek support for the planned coalition.

The communiqué from the IS follows the explosions of two homemade bombs on Sunday in the capital district of Boulak Abou Ila, near the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry, as a result of which two police officers were killed and ten were injured, including a general and a passerby, authorities said.
