Open Doors... the
University of Havana invites prospective students to
explore its courses
November 15 through December 13, the
University of Havana (UH), will invite students from
middle and high schools to join the Open Doors
program, AIN reported.

In a memo sent by the Teaching
Methodology Directorate of the institution, it was
recalled that this exchange will allow young people
and their families to learn more about the
specialties that are studied here.
Unlike previous years, this school
year activities will take place on Saturdays at the
faculty headquarters, except in the case of Physics
and Tourism, which will be held in the Varona
amphitheater, on University Hill.
Those interested in beginning their
studies in the Faculties of Geography, Social
Communication, Journalism and Information Sciences,
may attend from 9:00am to noon on the 15th, while
those opting for Economics will be received at
4:00pm in the afternoon.
On Saturday November 22, Psychology,
Mathematics and Computer Science will be open to
prospective students from 9:00 am to noon, while
those interested in Physics may attend between in
the afternoon.
In the case of Foreign Languages,
for Russian, German, French and English, Open Doors
will welcome students on the 29th from 09:00 am to
noon, while the Faculties of Accounting and Finance,
Philosophy, History and Sociology will begin their
activities in the afternoon.
Those interested in pursuing careers
in Chemistry, Arts and Humanities can turn up at
these faculties on the morning of December 6, while
the Tourism open house will be held in the afternoon.
On Saturday December 13 – the final
day of the Open Doors program - Biology,
Microbiology and Molecular Biology and Biochemistry
will be on show at the Faculty of Biology from 9:00
am to noon, while the Faculty of Law and the
Institute of Pharmacy and Food (IFAL) will host
Pharmaceutical Sciences and Food Science in the
afternoon.
The memo also provides the addresses
of each of the faculties as well as contact
information for all those interested in attending.
