German airline Condor inaugurates new
direct flight to Varadero
The German airline, Condor, has increased its
frequency of flights to Cuba, with a new weekly
flight from the Cologne Bonn Airport direct to
Varadero, Matanzas, commencing November 4, according
to a statement from the Ministry of Tourism.

German airline Condor incorporates a
new weekly flight into its schedule
from the Cologne Bonn international airport direct
to Varadero.
This new flight schedule will not only benefit
visitors from this city - strategically located a
short distance from the main industrial areas of
Germany - but also French, Belgium and Dutch
travelers, due to the proximity of the airport to
their borders.
The flights will operate weekly, every Tuesday,
joining Condor’s weekly scheduled flights from
Frankfurt, Munich and Vienna to the tourist center
of Varadero.
The airline will use Boeing 767-300 planes; recently
remodeled to offer passengers a more modern and
comfortable cabin space.
With this new route between Germany and Cuba, the
total number offered by Condor airlines between
Europe and the Island for the winter season
2014/2015 will rise to 12 weekly flights,
demonstrating a strong commitment to expansion in
Cuba.
