The anti-terrorist Fernando González stressed the
importance of the 3rd Five Days for the Five event
taking place June 4-11 in the Washington, D.C.
In
a press conference González stated, “It is the most
important event that will take place for the
remainder of this year.”
He added that jurists, parliamentarians, academics,
intellectuals, political figures, and activists,
among many others will be participating in the
scheduled events, which include artistic
performances and a protest outside the White House.
González also highlighted the visit by members of
parliaments from other countries to Congressional
offices, lobbying their U.S counterparts to take
action for the release of the three remaining
anti-terrorists, Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino
and Antonio Guerrero, currently incarcerated in
federal prisons. Their compatriots René González and
Fernando González have completed their unjust
sentences in full and returned to Cuba.
Attorney Martin Garbus and Canadian writer Stephen
Kimber will hold a press conference June 4 at the
National Press Club, where they will discuss the
case and explain its significance in the history of
bilateral relations between the U.S. and Cuba.
