Raúl receives President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea

On September 29, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of Ministers and State received, the honorable Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, on an official visit to Cuba.

In a friendly atmosphere the two dignitaries emphasized the fraternal links existent between both countries and expressed their commitment to continue strengthening and expanding cooperation in diverse areas. They also addressed several topics on the international agenda, in particular the Ebola virus which is currently afflicting several West African countries.

Nguema Mbasogo was accompanied by Alejandro Evuna Owono Asan­gono, minister to the presidency in charge of missions; Agapito Mba Mokuy, minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and Lourdes Mba Ayecaba, ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Cuba.

Participating on the Cuban side were compañeros José Ramón Machado Ventura, a vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers; Rogelio Sierra Díaz, internal minister of Foreign Relations, and Pedro Félix Doña Santana, Cuban ambassador to Equatorial Guinea.
