Raúl receives President of Chilean
Communist Party
Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee First
Secretary, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, received
on May 29 Guillermo Teillier, President of the
Communist Party of Chile (PCCh), currently visiting
the country.
During the fraternal meeting, Raúl and Teillier
discussed relations between the two parties and the
desire to continue strengthening them, as well as
addressing regional and international issues.
Accompanying Teillier were, Juan Andrés Lagos,
general secretary of the PCCh; Karol Cariola,
general secretary of the Young Communists and
Javiera Oliveira, PCCh head of Communications.
Participating on the Cuban side were, José Ramón
Machado Ventura, second secretary of the PCC Central
Committee; Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first vice
president of the Councils of State and Ministers and
José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, member of the
Secretariat and head of PCC International Relations
department.
