Marino Murillo, new Minister of
Economy and Planning
• The Council of State has decided to
relieve Adel Yzquierdo Rodríguez of his position as
Minister of Economy and Planning, and replace him
with compañero Marino Murillo Jorge
As has been publicly stated, the implementation of
the economic and social policy of the Party and the
Revolution addresses the most complex and profound
issues.
In order to progress in this task it is necessary to
harmonize and integrate, at a higher level, the
process of the updating of the economic model and
planning as the driving principle of the national
economy.
Given this objective, the Council of State, at the
proposal of its President, has decided to relieve
Adel Yzquierdo Rodríguez of his position as Minister
of Economy and Planning, and replace him with
compañero Marino Murillo Jorge, who will continue in
his role as Vice President of the Government and
Head of the Permanent Commission for Implementation
and Development.
In the interest of contributing to this process,
compañero Adel Yzquierdo Rodríguez, member of the
CC-PCC Political Bureau, has been appointed First
Vice Minister of Economy and Planning, a position
which he held prior to being appointed Minister of
the organization.
