Hosts International Congress
on Orthopedics
SANCTI SPIRITUS,
Cuba, Sept 24 (acn) Novel treatments, replacement of
joints and traumas in sports are, among others, the
topics debated as of Tuesday at the International
Congress on Orthopedics under way in the city of
Trinidad, in this province.
Over
20 countries and the same number of firms producing
or commercializing medical equipment and consumables
in this branch of health participate in this
scientific meeting, which will end on Saturday.
According to
the program, some 270 papers will be presented at
the meeting, which is sponsored by the International
Society of Orthopedic Surgery and a similar
institution in Cuba, as well as by other Latin
American organizations.
Two keynote
lectures will be given on Saturday, one in charge of
Dr. Rodrigo Alvarez Cambras, president of the Cuban
Society of Orthopedics, and the other one by Mexican
Professor Mario Armando Castellano. (Taken from
