Direct flight between Switzerland and
Cuba scheduled
 The
Swiss airline Edelweiss will incorporate an
additional direct flight between the city of Zurich
and Havana, beginning April, 2015, announced Cuba’s
Tourism Ministry (Mintur), October 15.
The
twice weekly flight should facilitate an increase in
visitors from Switzerland and other European nations
to Havana, and to other Cuban destinations,
according to the ministry.
Edelweiss, the name of Switzerland’s national flower
and the country’s principal airline, transports over
1.3 million passengers a year, in over 40 nations,
and offers multi-destination options. (ACN)
