Message of condolence from Muhammad Ali

"I was profoundly sad this morning to hear the news of the death of one of the great champions of boxing, Teófilo Stevenson. Although he never fought professionally, having won three gold medals in three different Olympic Games makes clear that, at his best moment, he would have been a formidable opponent for any other reigning heavyweight champion or challenger. I will always remember meeting with the great Teófilo in his native Cuba. He was one of the greats of this world, and at the same time a warm and approachable man. My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace."
