Gladys Bejerano and
Minister
of the Presidency of Guinea Bissau hold meeting
GLADYS Bejerano Portela, vice
president of the Council of State and comptroller
general of the Republic of Cuba, received on May 6
Maria Adiatu Djalo Nandingna, Minister of the
Presidency of the Council of Ministers, of Social
Communication and of Parliamentary Affairs of the
Republic of Guinea Bissau, who was making a private
visit to the island.
During their cordial exchange, the
two high-ranking ministers reviewed the fraternal
and historic ties between Guinea Bissau and Cuba and
expressed their will to strengthen relations between
the two countries. On behalf of her government, the
Guinean leader conveyed deep gratitude to the people
of Cuba for their meritorious contribution of
medical cooperation for the wellbeing and
development of her nation.
The framework of the meeting also
provided an opportunity to discuss other
international issues of interest.
The distinguished visitor was
accompanied by Abel Coelho de Mendonça, ambassador
of the Republic of Guineas Bissau. On the Cuban side,
Deputy Foreign Minister Marcos Rodríguez Costa and
other Foreign Ministry officials were also present.
