Canadians inaugurate pavilion
at Cuban trade fair
HAVANA, October 31 (PL) —. More than 50 Canadian
companies and organizations are attending the 24th
Havana Trade Fair (FIHAVE 2006), and are to
inaugurate their pavilion today.
Those expected at the inauguration of that space,
which covers 500 square meters, include Robert Déry,
Canadian acting assistant deputy minister of foreign
affairs and commerce, and Canadian Ambassador
Alexandra Bugailiskis.
A
large delegation of Canadians, comprised of
high-ranking officials including representatives
from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and
Agriculture, and from the provinces Québec and New
Brunswick, were also expected at the inauguration.
This 24th edition of the FIHAV is expected to create
closer trade ties between the two countries and to
demonstrate to visitors Canada’s development in many
different industries, according to a press release
from the Canadian embassy in Cuba. |
