Fidel to respond
to slander of
Forbes magazine
PRESIDENT Fidel Castro is to make a special
appearance on national radio and television to
fulfill his promise to respond to the U.S. financial
magazine Forbes.
A few days ago, the leader of the Revolution
promised that he would respond to the infamous lies
and provocations of the libelous Forbes, which
listed him as one of the 10 richest governors in the
world.
A note published by the Granma daily today
states that given the importance of covering this
issue in depth, Fidel’s appearance, which starts at
6:00 p.m. Monday, could extend for some time.
It also announces that the president’s address is
to be attended by other invited figures, without
specifying whom.
