Raúl receives
Belarus defense minister
GENERAL of the Army Raúl Castro Ruz, Second
Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist
Party and Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces
(FAR), received in the MINFAR headquarters Colonel
General Leonid Semionovich Maltsev, defense minister
of the Republic of Belarus, and his accompanying
delegation.
The
meeting took place in the cordial and friendly
atmosphere that characterizes the relations between
both countries. Colonel General Maltsev expressed
his pleasure in visiting the island and seeing first-hand
the achievements of the Cuban Revolution and the
experiences of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.
Participating in the official talks were Army
Corps General Alvaro López Miera, deputy minister
and chief of staff, other leading FAR officers, and
Víctor Vasilievich Kozintsev, consul of the embassy
of the Republic of Belarus in Cuba.
