BY PEDRO DE LA
HOZ—Granma daily staff writer—
THE
conviction that our people have sown the seeds
of a better society was shared by President
Fidel Castro with the 3,092 arts instructors of
the second national graduation in this
specialty.
During
the gradation ceremony of the new members of
this army of young people dedicated to the
spiritual growth of our society, which took
place last night in the capital’s Sports City,
Fidel reiterated the call he made to the
instructors who received their degrees on
October 20 last year in Santa Clara: “Forward,
valiant standard bearers of culture and
humanism! A life of glory awaits you!”
With the
incorporation of this force, a total of 6,318
instructors have completed their studies in the
15 colleges created in the last five years in
the heat of the Battle of Ideas.
Like the
first graduation group, the members of this one
are to become part of the José Martí Brigade of
Arts Instructors, a vanguard detachment in the
mass promotion of a general and comprehensive
culture.
That
provides at least one instructor in the 4,898
kindergarten, elementary, junior high, special
and senior high schools in the country.
