Demonstration in
Miami for extradition of Posada Carriles
HAVANA, (AIN) Organizations attached to the
Alianza Martiana in Miami are to demonstrate this
Saturday outside the Immigration Department building
in the Florida metropolis to demand the extradition
to Venezuela of terrorist Luis Posada Carriles.
The information, offered by Andrés Gómez,
president of the Antonio Maceo Brigade, underlines
that the alliance includes the Association of
Community Workers, the Alianza Martiana, the José
Martí Association, the Christian Women's Association
in Defense of the Cuban Family and the Bolivarian
Circle of Miami.
The demonstrators are demanding that the Bush
administration rejects terrorist Posada Carriles’
asylum application and, in compliance with the laws
and an extradition treaty signed with Venezuela,
extradites him to this South American country.
The petition is based on the need to act
impartially so that Posada Carriles is submitted to
the trial pending with Venezuelan justice for his
part in the sabotage of the Cubana Aviation CU-455
passenger place in October 1976, which caused the
deaths of 73 innocent people.
"In this city, we all know the shady past of this
murderer, who did not act alone, and that there are
others in Miami who will also have to face justice,"
sustains the document.
