Raúl receives high-level Russian
military delegation

HAVANA, December 28 – General
of the Army Raúl Castro Ruz, minister of the
Revolutionary Armed Forces, received General of
the Army Yuri Nicolaevich Baluevski, first
substitute of the Ministry of Defense and head of
the General Staff of the Russian Federation.
“We are happy to share with
Russian friends,” Raúl affirmed as he welcomed the
high-level military delegation to the headquarters
of the MINFAR.
Talks between the two military
leaders took place in a cordial and friendly
environment, and they acknowledged the historic
ties that unite the two nations.
General of the Army Baluevski
transmitted a warm greeting from Serguei Ivanov,
Russian minister of defense, as well as
congratulations to the Cuban people and their
Armed forces for the upcoming 47th anniversary of
the Revolution.
