Baghdad shaken by explosions
BAGHDAD.— At least 10 people died and 50 were
injured this Sunday when two car bombs exploded in
the center of the Iraqi capital and another went off
in the city of Mosul, reported Al-Jazeera and cited
by DPA.
Two
fierce explosions occurred in the center of Baghdad
close to a Christian Armenian church and another
church in the neighborhood of Karrada, according to
the Arab station.
It
is believed that one of the bombs was concealed
inside a vehicle.
The
police cordoned off the area adjacent to the second
explosion, which was probably also the result of a
car bomb.
According to Al Jazeera, a third explosion was
reported in the northern city of Mosul in northern
Iraq in which one person died and 15 people were
injured.
