REGARDING THE
COMPLETE WORKS OF JOSÉ MARTÍ
DR. Martin Alberto
Peña from Mexico asks where he can find quotes by
Cuban national hero José Martí in Spanish. I’d
like to take the opportunity to inform our readers
that the Center for Martí Studies in Havana has
produced a CDRom containing the complete works (in
Spanish) of the distinguished Cuban thinker, poet
and writer who died in combat on May 19,1895 in a
battle between the Liberation Army and Spanish
troops in the eastern region of Cuba. Those who have
written to us interested in the life and works of
Martí now have the chance to request a copy of the
CDRom from amarti@cubarte.cult.cu
or amarti@cenial.inf.cu
The price is $10 plus postage and packing. We would
like to thank Milenys Pérez, a specialist from the
Center’s library, for her help.
RECEIVED WITH
THANKS
Carlos Alfredo
Villalobos, a Salvadoran who lives in Cuba, tells us
he follows international events closely, especially
Cuba-related articles. After reading our column in
May when we replied to Angela, a French Granma
International reader, regarding websites
containing Fidel’s speeches on the Literacy
Campaign (1961), Carlos suggests the University of
Texas website where he has already read them in
English. The web address is: www.lanic.utexas.edu/la/cb/cuba/castro.html
Another page that
he recommends, not just for the Cuban president’s
speeches, but also for information on all Marxist
classics is: www.marxists.org
Fidel’s well-known speech History will absolve
me can be found in English here.
Juan Martínez from
Seattle requests more information regarding the
program Universidad Para Todos (University for All).
I suggest you contact the website: www.joven.cu
From France, Katia
Adgharouamane would like to find an edition of Granma
International from August 1969. You should
contact the Archives department at Granma daily. The
e-mail address is: cendocu@granma.cip.cu
From Venezuela,
José Luis Valero would like to visit Cuba and is
looking for information on accommodation, flights,
museums, car hire, etc. You can find out more on our
own website at the bottom of the homepage. There are
several different Internet sites containing tourist
information, for example, www.cubanacan.cu
and www.islagrande.cu
This second site encompasses many different areas of
interest, including all aspects of tourism and
cultural trips.
José Pardo from
Uruguay is looking for a copy of the Cuban
constitution. You can find the entire text at www.asanac.gov.cu
